This revolting looking specimen. Comes up every year in my garden. As it grows, it exudes black slime that attracts all manner of flies. Especially Bluebottles. The smell replicates rotten meat. I'm often tempted to get rid of it as it really is smelly however I think of its ecology and decide to avoid that part of the garden. It is nature after all. It withers and dies after a few days.
